About Harbor Oak Chiropractic

A small, independent practice in Dothan, caring for local families since 2011.

Why we started

Harbor Oak opened in 2011 with a simple idea: people in pain deserve a clear explanation and a plan that respects their time and money. We are still a small practice, and we like it that way. You will see the same doctor each visit, and the person who answers the phone knows your name.

How we work

We start every new patient with a proper history and exam. If your symptoms suggest something chiropractic care should not treat, we say so and help you find the right specialist. When we do treat, we combine spinal adjustment, soft tissue work and targeted exercise, and we check your progress against clear goals so you know whether it is working.

Meet the doctors

Dr. Daniel Hale

Dr. Daniel Hale, DC

Founder and chiropractor

Dr. Hale grew up in Houston County and opened Harbor Oak in 2011 after training at a chiropractic college in Georgia. He has a special interest in low back pain and sciatica in people who work physically demanding jobs.

Outside the clinic he coaches youth baseball and spends too much time fixing an old fishing boat.

Dr. Maria Alvarez

Dr. Maria Alvarez, DC

Chiropractor

Dr. Alvarez joined Harbor Oak in 2019. She focuses on neck pain, headaches and posture-related problems, and often works with office workers and healthcare staff who spend long hours on their feet or at a screen.

She speaks English and Spanish, and she enjoys running early morning 5Ks around Dothan.
